Project OverviewOrder serves as a foundational formal law across artistic disciplines—music, visual arts, and architecture. The beauty of order manifests through repetition, incremental variation, and rhythmic regularity, collectively generating a potent sense of structure. Etymologically, order denotes a state of systematized harmony, standing in opposition to chaos, and embodies consistency, continuity, and determinacy. This research project investigates three dimensions of order: Infinite Proliferation, Organic Systems, Dynamic Equilibrium.

Order in Infinite Proliferation

The manifestation of order within infinite proliferation occurs through two distinct modalities:
  1. Uniform Proliferation
    Defined as the identical self-replication of a singular form. This recursive pattern generates an aesthetic of identity, embodying the principle of sameness through repetition.
  2. Variational Proliferation
    Characterized by spatial arrangements of formal elements through modulated intervals. By introducing variation during replication, this mode produces not only rhythmic beauty but also evolves into harmonic beauty through progressive transformations.

无限繁殖中的秩序
无限繁殖中的秩序可分为两类:单纯繁殖和变化繁殖。所谓单纯繁殖,是指某一形式的简单自我复制,这种重复形式创造了同一律的美感。所谓变化繁殖,指形式要素配列的空间上,采用不同的间隔形式,这种形式由于它在自我复制中有变化,所以不仅能够产生节奏美,还会形成韵律美。







































































































Order in Organic Systems

Order within organic systems embodies coordinated harmony. Organismic theory posits that life phenomena emerge when an organism's material components and processes achieve a specific state of integrated organization—manifesting as inherent properties of the system. The foundation of order in living or mechanical entities lies in the structured orchestration of component processes, enabling either the system's intrinsic equilibrium or its capacity for evolutionary transformation.

有机体中的秩序
秩序在有机体中是系统协调的体现。有机体论认为生命现象是有机体的物质和过程处于某一特定的结合状态和有秩序时的表现,是该系统所具备的一种特性。生命体或机械体存在的秩序现象的基础在于部分过程的组织,从而有可能形成该系统固有的平衡或发展的变化。














































































Order in Equilibrium

The ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras asserted: "Beautiful linear forms and all other graceful shapes must possess symmetrical properties." Symmetry stands as humanity’s earliest mastered principle of aesthetic form. Across eras and cultures, this visual harmony has been relentlessly pursued—from Western minimalism to the essence of Chinese tradition, symmetrical elements manifest with ingenious subtlety.
Symmetry organizes shapes, dimensions, colors, and structures around a central axis or point, achieving unified harmony. Symmetrical compositions impart a serene solemnity, embodying beauty through equilibrium and stability.

古希腊哲学家毕达哥拉斯曾说过:“美的线型和其他一切美的形体都必须有对称形式”。对称是人类最早掌握的形式美的法则。从古至今,人类都追求着这种美感。无论是西方极简主义或是是中式文化精粹中,我们都能看到对称元素的巧妙运用。对称,是以一个点或一条线为中心,两边的形状和大小,是一致且呈现对称的事物,色彩、影调、结构,都是统一和谐的现象。对称的事物能给人一种“安静”的严肃感,蕴含着平衡、稳定之美。
